This week we are saying goodbye to another few of our Designers, we are sad to see them go, but we can still follow them on their blogs and see what they are up to!  We know Finn is super busy travelling around the world doing classes, so we wish her all the best in her travels. Alexandra and Malin are also leaving us for bigger and better things I am sure!

Thanks girls for all you have done for The Color Room over the time you have designed for us.  We wish you many creative endeavours!

Now something very exciting.......

The Color Room is having their first ever DT CALL!!!!

We are looking for 4-5 Designers to fill positions on our team.

If you want to create with freedom and passion, while exploring your love of color and pushing the limits of your creative boundries, this is an opportunity you will love. This role gives you the opportunity to use the supplies you have been hoarding and are desperate to use, or  scraps and products you love- just for fun…..Then this is the team for you.

Requirements is just one project per month, leaving you plenty of time for your other commitments.

If you are interested we need to see your skills.

Show us how you can create using colour as a basis. 

1.  Create 2 Projects based on previous Color Room palettes so we can see how you interpret a palette.  1 of your projects should be based on the sketch in your chosen palette...Please include the palette you used for inspiration when submitting! 
2. Please also send us your 2 favourite Projects, these are not restricted to CR palettes, just your 2 favourites that best display your talents and what you can offer the Color Room as a designer.........Projects may be pages (paper or digital), cards, mixed media, or OTP….(So thats 4 projects in total)
3. Share with us a link to any of your online galleries as well as your blog.
4. Please outline any experience you may have with technique tutorials (this is not essential to the role but will be looked on preferably)

Today's release is
 #111 and is another of our
 Miss Arts Palettes we talked about back in March when Miss Arts Sponsored The Color Room.


Miss Arts and The Color Room joined together to bring "The Round Table" class over at the Miss Arts Site.  You can still take the class
HERE.

So now that people have had a chance to go do the Series, we can post our projects here this month.  This Palette features a project done by
 Solange Marques....and you can find her tutorial video on the Miss Arts site.....To see them you have to go take the class (well worth the small cost if you ask me!!!!)

We also have a Special Edition Palette for the Month of May which Showcases a Celebration Kit from Scrap That!  Who are celebrating their second anniversary this month.  We were able to share this special occaision last year when they turned 1....it only seemed fitting we helped them celebrate when they turn 2!

So this palette will run the entire month alongside the weekly palettes.  Just upload with either a palette number, or "ST Special Edition"  Scroll down to see these palettes

Welcome Jenifer Evans

My name is Jenifer, known on most scrappy sites as Jennaroo, I'm a SAHM to 5 wonderful children and wife to my amazing high school honey. We live in a small farm community where there's not much to do (especially in the winter) but SCRAP! I scrap to preserve memories for my children but I also scrap as a creative outlet for myself! I have been scrapping now for 3 years, although I have played with it since 1999 when my first child was born. I would say I have more than one style of scrapping because I don't want to limit my creativity, but dominant style is classic.

Where do you scrap?

I have a scraproom, which I have completrly outgrown....would it be mean to move my kids room in a tent outside so I have more scrappy space??? I AM SO TOTALY KIDDING, but I bet you just smiled, lol!

What are your favourite tools?

I love my border punches and cutter bee's !!!

What colours do you love using ATM?

I am in love with soft pastel colors, my favorite at the moment would have to be light teal's and aqua's.

What do you scrap most about?

Random everyday photo's, I'm not a huge fan of scrapping occasions.

What is you favourite trend ATM?

I love distressing and I can't pile enough doilies on my pages!

When do you find time to scrap?

Lol thats a good question, being a mother of 5 leaves me little room, multitasking is my life,  I have found that I even page plan in my dreams, lol!! My youngest is now in pre school and I try to scrap while my kids are gone as to not cut into family time if possible!

The first tag should be the palette number- this week
#111. You don't need TCR or anything else- just the symbol for numerals and the number (followed by any other tags you would like to be considered with-in a search, eg. flowers, ink, glimmermist.) This is relevant not only for us selecting favourite LO's- but also for you when you would like to see a particular palette and all it's submissions together...... Just type the palette number in the search bar on the Photo Wall, and all the LO's tagged with that number will show up together.
It's a great tip and makes looking at particular palettes much easier.
